Andrew Winett

Always having a โ€œfeelโ€ for movement, Andrew began boxing, martial arts and sports at a very young age in Oklahoma. At a young age he discovered Ballroom and Latin dance, dove in head first and started devouring all the training and knowledge he could get his hand on.
Soon Andrew started teaching dance and coaching his students for competitions and showcases.

Traveling to many competitions in different states exposed him first hand to the different dance styles in the Arts. Experiencing the many levels in performance, technique, freedom and focus convinced Andrew that dance was something special, something that the Artist and the Athlete could both thrive upon.

Andrew started traveling the country, seeking out bigger studios and greater challenges. His experience in this variety of locations and studios allowed him to be close to other competitors, and to refine his own identity as an artist and dancer. Andrew sought out the challenges that would bring personal growth, and greater skills. Andrew has lived and taught in such cities as Miami, Las Vegas, San Diego, Boca Raton, Los Angeles, and New York City.

While coaching Ballroom and Latin dance in New York, Andrew expanded his focus to include Ballet, Jazz, Modern and Contemporary Dance. Andrew studied at the prestigious New York Schools: Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and Dance New Amsterdam. He studied extensively in Simonson technique, and modern jazz under Katiti King.

Andrew competed professionally in the International Latin division, winning many State Championships, the U.S. Triple Crown, and capturing the 1999 United States Latin American Couple of the year with his partner, Tsha Marie. Andrew has extensive entertainment industry experience in film, television and stage, appearing in national television ads, movies and music videos. He toured with the 2006-2007 North American tour of Dancing with the Stars and spent 2008 on stage in Amsterdam as a featured performer in the stage production of Dirty Dancing.

While Andrew continues to perform, choreograph and instruct in the dance world, he has also taken his love of movement into the fitness world, training and instructing fitness classes to help others reach their goals. Andrew shares his experience and love of movement so that everyone can feel strong, flexible and confident to achieve any dream.
